Director of Self-Insured

The  State of Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC), a progressive organization and one of the largest single-line insurance organizations in the world, is seeking an experienced individual to serve as the Director of the Self-Insured Department.   Under the direction of the Executive Director of Employer Management Services, the SI Department is responsible for regulating the self-insured program operations for the State of Ohio.  This includes overseeing many of the largest employers in the state who self fund their respective workers’ compensation programs.

The successful candidate should possess;  leadership skills with at least 3 years experience in management and/or operations, underwriting &  financial analysis or legal background preferred;  and hold a Bachelor’s degree in finance, healthcare administration or related field; experience developing and creating program policies and program implementation with preference given to strategic management strategies.
